Chalkboard Decor

Today was chalkboard day!! I have never done chalkboards before and have always been intimidated by them. To be honest my sister is an artist and she does amazing chalkboard art, so I guess I have always talked her into doing it!! Not today... I tackled them and I am please with the outcome. Here was the first one.
This was done on an original 1914 kitchen cabinet door from this Hood River Cottage. It has been sanded down and made into a chalkboard. This is it up on the wall, better picture of the whole cabinet door and original glass knob...
The next chalkboard I did was above the kitchen sink. It is larger in size and there are some opsticles to work with... Here is how it turned out...

And the last one is the whisk... After drawing it my sister had a good idea... She thought I should write cook at your own "whisk" ... Loved the idea, but I was too afraid that my whisk wouldn't look as good if I started over. On the over the cabinet picture visualize a piece of barn wood that says "eat"... I just started staging the cabinets... So it is a "work in progress"... I will share more pictures when completely finished!!

Overall I think they turned out better than I expected!! I hope you enjoyed it!! Thanks for stopping by!!
Cheers,
Kaitlin
